COVID-19 GP Respiratory Clinics
MPHN has been working with the Department of Health to establish GP respiratory clinics across the Murrumbidgee region to ease pressure placed on hospitals.
Currently YDMC refers patients to Young Health Service or Private Service Laverty Pathology for CLOVID-19 Screening
It is recommend EVERYONE stays home from school , work, socializing if ANY symptoms of a cold and consider COVID testing before returning – the results will hopefully be rapidly available the next day
There is a new option to be soon available in Young which may be useful during the winter months with the increase in the usual colds , coughs.
The Boorowa Street Practice will be available from Monday 18th May for patients showing signs of a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose and other respiratory symptoms to be screened free of charge. You do not require a referral for testing or require to be or become a patient of The Boorowa Street Practice – the Clinic will be open for testing Monday – Friday 12.30pm to 4.30pm. To prevent contamination and risk to our vulnerable patients this clinic will be run from the rear of the existing practice – there will be onsite Covid-19 testing, an SMS test message with negative results will be sent to your mobile phone. A telephone call by the Clinic will be made for positive cases with instructions on further management.
Please visit the MPHN website : https://mphn.org.au/testing-and-clinic-locations
